Our patient’s front teeth had been worn down and pushed outward over the years. This was caused by not having back teeth to bite on forcing them to only use their front teeth to chew. Dr. Jarrett first made a partial denture which allowed the patient to chew using their back teeth. She then placed crowns on the four top front teeth to provide strength and a new smile!
This patient came to us and wanted Dr. Jarrett to treat his current cavities but also improve his smile. After removing the staining and cavities, Dr. Jarrett used composite material to shape and form his front teeth resulting in a new smile for our patient! Tooth-colored fillings are often an easy way to dramatically improve your smile when your front teeth are chipped, have cavities or staining, or just need small alterations to their shape.
This patient came to our office having chipped a front tooth that had a filling completed several years prior. Dr. Jarrett was able to match the shade of her teeth and place a new tooth-colored filling the next day. Whether you have a chipped or broken tooth, Dr. Jarrett can help you smile confidently again by placing a a tooth-colored filling!
A common location children develop cavities are in their posterior (back) teeth on both the biting surfaces and in between the teeth. When using composite material to complete these fillings, Dr. Molly is able to remove less tooth structure because the material will bond to the tooth when placed. This will help increase the longevity of the tooth which is especially important when completing fillings on children and adolescents.
This young child had large decay on two primary (baby) teeth that were not able to be restored using traditional filling material. Dr. Jarrett was able to save each tooth by using stainless steel crowns. This type of crown is used to save primary teeth that play an important role in a child's oral development. The alternative treatment would have required the patient to have both teeth extracted and then have a space maintainer placed for several years.
