A common location children develop cavities are in their posterior (back) teeth on both the biting surfaces and in between the teeth. When using composite material to complete these fillings, Dr. Molly is able to remove less tooth structure because the material will bond to the tooth when placed. This will help increase the longevity of the tooth which is especially important when completing fillings on children and adolescents.
